Activated Voices: Arts for Social Change

Recent passage of marriage equality in Minnesota resulted after months of statewide grassroots organizing and activism. Countless volunteers worked behind the scenes working to enact social change. For Activated Voices we talk with Linda Her, a student at Metropolitan State University, who has a self-guided major in arts activism and grassroots organizing. She uses spoken word and poetry to reach out from within the Hmong community to help shape public policy from the ground up.
