VIDEO: Urban Farming Sprouts Youth Development

Just as school rooms empty out for the summer, Twin Cities youth gather at local garden plots to harvest and market produce. Now in it's 18th season, Youth Farm and Market Project invites kids aged 9-24 to learn about growing healthful food and develop community engagement.
Youth Farm's Executive Director Gunnar Liden says it's a great opportunity for summertime experiential learning and developing leadership skills, which too often get skipped in school settings.
