VIDEO: Right to Work is a Wrong Approach

February 02, 2012 By Tom Niemisto, Video Production Specialist

Once again, conservatives in the Minnesota legislature are drafting policy that directly attacks workers across the state. Making Minnesota a right-to-work state could strip power away from organized labor and severely diminish benefits and safeguards for thousands of laborers, teachers, and health care workers.

We do need a strong business climate in Minnesota, but right-to-work is the wrong approach.

Everybody knows that “Right-To-Work” is just an Orwellian label for the systematic dismantling of unions.  If conservatives had any guts or integrity they’d call it what it is; union-busting.

Just another way for the Tea Party Republicians to make paid slaves work for them with out any benefits and become owner of the middle class Americans.  The Tea Party Republicians spend their time attempting to degrade the average citizen of this state.  When are they going to come up with plan to put people back to work.  Of course since Nixon and Reag-gon we spend all our time supporting foregin countries. Including their banks.
